Art Therapy Distance Learning and Other Online Learning...

Beginning in 2008, several art therapy courses will be available through distance learning for continuing education credits (CECs) through the National Institute for Trauma and Loss in Children. In 2009, an online certificate in creative interventions and trauma will be offered. Check back soon for details!

Cathy has given more than 275 invited keynotes, presentations, workshops, and courses throughout the US, Canada, Europe, and Asia for mental health, healthcare, education, and arts professionals; graduate counseling, art therapy, and expressive therapies students; and the general public. Lectures and keynote presentations include visual case examples and DVD presentations; workshops and courses include lecture, visual case examples, DVD presentations, and hands-on experience with methods of intervention. No prior art experience is necessary and workshops are appropriate for art therapists, mental health counselors, social workers, marriage and family therapists, psychologists, addictions counselors, play therapists, expressive therapists, medical personnel, law enforcement, and school counselors and psychologists.

Continuing Education Credits

Distance learning courses are available for continuing education (CE) credits through the National Institute for Trauma and Loss in Children. Participants receive a Certificate reflecting the actual number of contact hours. It is the responsibility of the participant to determine if these CECs will be accepted toward licensure or certification or are qualified to meet your state board or employer's requirements.
